Derin Ege Sezgin: My 2nd Mother's Day / 2. Anneler Gunum

Last year, I had written about how the Mother's Day didn't mean much, or how I didn't necessarily like it. I can't say that it felt any different this year. We had grandma with us (last year, it was my aunt), so we still celebrated the day as we are taught. Just being with each other, and going out for dinner at a special place still felt great, and we all had a great time. Derin "bought" his mommy a new camera, so I had the opportunity to have extra fun while taking photos of him enjoying his day with the whole family. Maybe Mother's Day isn't bad after all.

Gecen yil, Anneler Gunu'nun benim icin cok fazla anlami olmadigi konusunda yazmistim. Bu sene de cok farkli hissettigimi soyleyemem. Gecen yil benim teyzem buradaydi, bu yil da Yuksel'in annesi. O nedenle gunu bize ogretildigi bicimde kutladik. Ama ailece guzel bir yere yemege gitmek, havanin guzelligi, vs. sayesinde harika bir gun gecirdik. Derin annesine yeni bir fotograf makinesi hediye etti (babasi sagolsun). O nedenle Derin'in ailesiyle beraber gecirdigi guzel gune ait fotograflar cekerken ben de gunun keyfini cikardim. Belki de Anneler Gunu o kadar da fena bir gun degil.
